 Kriti team is a social development and livelihoods support non-profit based in Delhi. We work with resource poor and marginalised women like domestic workers, construction workers, shopkeepers on domestic violence and economic empowerment issues, as well as with local communities producing handmade products which we are trying to market through www.gestures.in We also screen and produce documentaries for social change which highlight issues and realities that concern the vulnerable condition and rights of marginalised people across India. 

Currently, we are helping financially stressed communities through our “Gestures “initiative.  ‘Gestures’ is an independent, community livelihoods support initiative that provides a platform for marginalised and resource-poor communities in rural and urban India to sell their handmade, handcrafted and handloom products. Thus, products purchased from our website directly aid financially stressed communities. The team has also extended support to daily wagers through cash transfers and mobile recharges.

URGENT HELP REQUIRED

 One of our community partners reached out to us from Dehradun for an urgent response and we have started a fundraiser to get relief to them https://milaap.org/fundraisers/support-kriti-team These women have been badly hit by the lockdown in Dehradun, and we have been able to support 18 families through ration support already, but have another 57 women who need our support immediately.
